You name it, we celebrate it.

If you took the family here for the events alone, you’d have plenty of excitement to fill your vacation schedule. And much like the rest of Reno Tahoe, every one of our events is larger than life. Maybe it’s because we would never let life pass us by without getting a little fun and adventure out of it. Reno Tahoe is where people from all over the world come for uniquely memorable happenings that are perfectly suited to the area’s spirit.

Arts & Culture

Leave yourself enough time to explore our more civilized pursuits of arts and culture.

Our cultural offerings include the Nevada Museum of Art and the vibrant Arts District along the Truckee River in downtown Reno. This lively urban cityscape - which features the picturesque Riverwalk - offers an eclectic selection of shops, boutiques, and galleries. You can also enjoy movies in the luxurious Century Riverside 12 Cinema or catch a concert in nearby Wingfield Park. Reno Tahoe is remarkable for the depth of its performing arts. That includes being one of the few cities of its size boasting both philharmonic and chamber orchestras. Not to mention a rich mixture of other arts, including Repertory Theater, Opera, Ballet, and Broadway revivals.

Explore authentic Western Heritage
- It's an action-packed look back.

Reno Tahoe was literally carved out by people larger than life: explorers, generals, miners, Native Americans, Europeans, and countless courageous settlers with a distinct lust for life. You can learn about our history in museums such as the Sparks Heritage Museum or Nevada Historical Society and you’ll find towns such as Virginia City that are designated historic landmarks.

There are over 50 golf courses within 90 minutes of Reno Tahoe
Swing hard enough and you'll hit one.

Whether you’re looking for a course that will leave you talking to your clubs, and yourself, or something a bit less challenging, Reno Tahoe has you covered. You’ll find over a dozen championship courses in Tahoe alone. In Reno, you’ll find world-class golf courses, including Montrêux Golf and Country Club, the host of the Reno Tahoe Open, a PGA TOUR event. The American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, is held in July at Edgewood Tahoe - rated one of Golf Digest’s top 25 public U.S. golf courses. Also, because of our high altitude, golf balls fly off the club 10% farther. You never know when you might need that extra 20 or 30 feet.
